Melanotan II

Melanotan II (MT-II) is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), developed at the University of Arizona. Its cyclic lactam bridge structure (Ac-Nle-c[Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys]-NH₂) provides enhanced metabolic stability compared to the linear endogenous α-MSH sequence.MT-II is a non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist with demonstrated binding affinity for MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, and MC5R subtypes.
